After hearing much talk about Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe in school,college and over the internet through their Facebook page and threads on boards.ie I finally decide to visit for myself and was extremely impressed by the quality and quantity of sweets there.

Mr Simms stocks every imaginable type of sweet and even make there own including there famous Apple Sours,the effects of which can be seen in the video above.Mr Simms products have become extremely well known in the city and the shop continues to be extremely successful since opening in 2010.
The story of Mr Simms Sweet Shoppe started in 2004 in Staffordshire in England. A 39 year old man named Martin Peet,a newsagent and salesroom assistant in DFS, opened the first Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe. With an eye for business he found a site which people would walk past every day and that was big enough. When he finally found the prime site he set about building the shop. After 9 grueling weeks of hard graft he finally fitted a marvelous Victorian style wooden shop although he had failed woodwork in school. The name Mr Simms started at his childs PTA meeting where he was likened to "Mr Simms" a character in a film.Huge numbers from the local habitants he eventually opened a second shop in Stoke on Trent. After opening his sixth shop martin was invited to star in a BBC documentary named "Mind Your Own Business".
